Background & Education:
Hank Scrudder graduated with highest honors from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) in 1976 with a B.A. in economics and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Scrudder received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1979, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board.
Professional Experience:
Prior to joining the predecessor firm to Scrudder, Bass in 1984, he worked as an Associate Attorney at Hurt, Richardson, Garner, Todd & Cadenhead, Atlanta, Georgia (1979-1982) and as a Staff Attorney to the Honorable Arnold Shulman and the Honorable A. W. Birdsong, Jr., Court of Appeals of Georgia (1982-1984).
Mr. Scrudder has authored the following:

Mr. Scrudder joined the State Bar of Georgia in 1979 and has maintained a civil litigation practice concentrating in tort defense and insurance coverage disputes. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, for which he served on the Board of Directors (1993-1999), and as Editor of the Law Journal (1993), Chairman of Amicus Committee (1995-1997), and Chairman of the Legislative Committee (1993-1995).
