Background & Education:
Born and raised in Atlanta, Mr. Horlock attended the University of Georgia, graduating in 1985 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Mr. Horlock graduated from the Emory University School of Law in 1989. While in law school, Mr. Horlock was an articles editor for the Bankruptcy Development Journal.
Professional Experience:
After graduating from law school, Mr. Horlock joined Hull, Towill, Norman, Barrett & Salley in Augusta, Georgia. In 1992, Mr. Horlock joined predecessor firm to Scrudder, Bass, Quillian, Horlock, Taylor & Lazarus LLP and is now a partner.
Mr. Horlock’s practice is focused on defending corporations and individuals against claims arising from product defects, malpractice, and premises liability. Mr. Horlock is also experienced in insurance coverage disputes, construction law and general commercial litigation.

Mr. Horlock is a member of the Georgia and South Carolina Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, the Georgia Defense Lawyer’s Association and the Atlanta Bar Association.
